NES FunkyFlashCart official Homepage

Almost universal Flash game cartridge for Nintendo Entertainment System!

(That you can build yourself)

I have been doing other things but the files are here. The PCB files will appear there when I find them

Play backups of your valuable NES Cartridges! Don't let them wear!
Run hundreds of available free ROM files by hobbyists!

This device doesn't allow you to read NES games off a cartridge, you need a separate device for that.

Hardware: Xilinx XC95144 (PQ100) CPLD for mappers, programmable at least 10000 times.
512KB PRG Flash
512KB CHR Flash
32KB PRG RAM battery backed with DS1210 or DS1218
32KB CHR RAM

Pros: Mapper, Flash and Battery backed up RAM programming using only the USB port, cart doesn't need to be plugged in an external programming device
Can mimic almost any mapper up to MMC3 with all features like IRQs
Quality PCB with golden contacts

Cons: Does not support very complex mappers like MMC5
CPLD in a Quad Flat Package is a pain in the ass to solder, but not impossible
Uploading the game isn't that fast - 10 minutes for a 512KB game

You will be able to order PCB for the cartridge from me LATER.
The price will be around 15 EUR + shipping.
